USA Luge

WFG proudly sponsors the athletes and programs of USA Luge as they take part in major competitions around the globe. USA Luge has won four Olympic medals (two in 1998 and two in 2002), four overall World Cup titles (1997, 1998, 1999 and 2003), two overall Challenge Cup crowns (2002 and 2003), and nearly 500 medals in senior and junior international competition since 1994.

Called the fastest sport on ice, luge is a competitive sport that features one- or two-person luge sleds. Lugers use a rocking motion to propel themselves forward and gain momentum as they race down an icy track feet-first at speeds up to 90 mph.

USA Luge is an Olympic-class member organization of the United States Olympic Committee and the National Governing Body for the sport of luge in the United States. Chartered in 1979, USA Luge recruits, prepares, trains and equips the United States National Luge Team for international and Olympic competition, and promotes the growth of the sport nationwide. Season of Champions

World Financial Group is a proud sponsor of the Season of Champions. The Season of Champions is a series of exciting national and international curling championship events which are organized by the Canadian Curling Association every year. Approximately 15,000 competitive curlers from all provinces and territories enter play at the curling club level with the hopes of becoming one of the Canadian Champions crowned annually.

2012 World Financial Group Continental Cup of Curling

World Financial Group is the title sponsor for the 2012 World Financial Group Continental Cup of Curling, scheduled for January 12-15 in Langley, British Columbia, at the Langley Events Centre. Additionally, World Financial Group will be a select sponsor for the 2012 Season of Champions.

Last year, World Financial Group first sponsored tournaments in the Season of Champions, and proudly displayed our trademark at the 2011 World Financial Group Continental Cup of Curling and the 2011 World Financial Group Canadian Seniors Curling Championships. Buddy Bensmiller

World Financial Group is proud to sponsor Buddy Bensmiller during the 2011 World Professional Chuckwagon Association (WPCA) season. Look for Buddy to be racing with the WFG tarp in select races in Western Canada between May and September.

Bensmiller is a legend on the chuckwagon track. His 30-plus-year career has garnered three Calgary Stampede championships, five WPCA Clean Drive Awards, and he has qualified for the Calgary Stampede’s “Sudden Death Championship” final heat nine times. Bensmiller was inducted into the Cheyenne Frontier Days Hall of Fame in 2009. In 2010, Bensmiller finished second in the overall WPCA standings. A second-generation chuckwagon racer, Bensmiller competes along with his three sons.
