WFG Financial Academy
WFG Financial Academy is an exclusive opportunity for California residents, who do not have their life insurance license, to learn key financial concepts, understand different financial products and services, and become familiar with the life insurance industry. The program is designed for those who may be interested in becoming a life insurance agent.
The Academy speaks to one of WFG’s core goals, providing financial education to middle-income families and individuals, as well as having more people join the industry to serve their communities.
Financial Education & Training
Individuals who sign up for WFG Financial Academy will have access to a robust library of training courses and educational options to learn about life insurance, the insurance industry, and entrepreneurial and leadership skills, among other topics.
This access is for a 12-month period from the date of signing their WFG Financial Academy agreement. Should the individual becomes licensed within that 12-month period, they will retain access to the training for the remaining time.
Pre-Licensing Education
WFG Financial Academy is not a pre-licensing program but can also connect trainees interested in studying for and taking the life insurance license exam with pre-licensing resources. Each of the pre-licensing programs and life insurance license exams are provided by third parties unaffiliated with WFG Financial Academy and are subject to separate fees. Some pre-licensing program providers offer discounts to WFG Financial Academy trainees.
Earning a Life Insurance License
A trainee may choose to sit for their life insurance license exam while or after participating in WFG Financial Academy. Once an individual has their life insurance license, they may apply to become an independent contractor with World Financial Group Insurance Agency, LLC (WFG), choose to work as a life insurance agent without affiliating with WFG, or choose a path outside of the life insurance industry. Whatever decision a trainee makes, WFG Financial Academy will have given them tools to improve their financial literacy and obtain a stronger understanding of how to create a more financially secure future.
